Our wonderful ministry team are here to not only help but also to listen, pray with and/or for you, to organise events within the church and of course, they each have their own ministries which help them with the day to day running of our church too.
Sally Walker
(Reverend / Anamchara)
Hello! I’m Sal and I’m not your usual Reverend/Anamchara. You’ll often see me in Dr Marten boots, rainbow clergy tops or even jeans and a T shirt. I want everyone to feel welcome at Sacred Sanctuary and no one to be left out in the cold. I firmly believes that everyone has the right to know and love Jesus no matter who they are, what they believe in or who they love. In my spare time I’m a bit of a gamer, writer and I own a rather magical metaphysical shop in Lancashire. I see my role as a guide rather than a leader and I love to get everyone involved so that everyone feels special, individual and loved.
Leanne Hanson

My role as Deacon is to be a point of contact along side Rev. Sally Walker, I keep our church diary organised, help schedule events and record all of our church registers. I’m here to help minister those who need spiritual help, prayers etc. I’m also responsible for dealing with and passing on correspondence and liaising with other members of the ministry team. I love being part of Sacred Sanctuary Church because I wanted the teachings of Jesus to be available to all. Without prejudice of belief, practice, gender or sexual orientation. A safe place where all are welcome.
Amy Walker
(Youth Leader / Anamchara)
Hello! I am Amy and I’m the Youth Pastor here at Sacred Sanctuary. I’ll be at the back of church most Sunday’s with our amazing group of kids at COOL Club (COOL stands for Children Of Our Lord). I lead a mini child friendly version of the main sermon each week and then we make, create, craft or play games connected to our weekly theme. I chose Sacred Sanctuary as it is the only church who allowed me to see God as a Divine being how I want to see, think about and communicate with them.

Hi, I’m Ann and I’m the treasurer for Sacred Sanctuary Church. Having worked in accounts for almost 25 years, I know my way around a cash book and I’m happy to keep track of Sacred Sanctuary’s finances. I am a firm believer that nobody should be made to ‘fit’ into a box, especially if it means changing or suppressing who they are. Sacred Sanctuary fits my outlook perfectly, welcoming everybody – whoever they are! I am a wife and mum, and I love crafting, cross stitching, reading, and beach walks (whatever the weather). I am also a good listener.
